It is the result of IMB Fashion Show Invitation Contest 2018, the outfit chosen for the photo shooting from which the invitation to the traditional end-of-year fashionshow was taken
«The contest was born with the intention of selecting the creation that will be photographed for the realization of the invitation. The rules to be followed are to expire to the fashion show mood and the related moodboards “- explains Biagio Belsito, artistic director and haute-couture professor at the Milan office, who indicated the guidelines to the participants.
At the IMB Fashion Show Invitation Contest 2018, the stylists students of the Milan-San Babila and Rome offices, which have just been inaugurated, have competed.
In the jury, Mr. Fernando Burgo, his sons Stefano and Monica, as well as Biagio Belsito.
In the end, the best ones were Tamara Cartocci and Riccardo Milone. “Working together they have been able to realize the winning idea: a combination of high-quality tailoring and innovation through the use of materials such as PVC, which in turn has been painted and embroidered by hand” – always reveals Biagio Belsito.
The winning sketch, in fact, consists of a dress in pure nude silk georgette with inlaid plissé solail, made by the technique of moulage and high tailoring finishing. In combination with a jacket inspired by 80s bomber in transparent pvc with turquoise knit cuffs and collar, painted with the marbling technique (to give an effect similar to that of water) and then decorated with rebrodè lace in white embroidered frame.
Once the garments were made, we moved on to the shooting, created in the enchanting setting of Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the model chosen by the fashion agency Run Management posed in the floor fountain. The shots are signed by the photographer Matteo Malavasi, while the styling by Biagio Belsito. The Istituto Beauté Institute, with whom the Istituto di Moda Burgo has just started a new collaboration, is taking care of make-up and hairstyle.
