The “Concours de Mode Prix Orje (2017)” took place on Thursday, October 5, 2017, during the week of high fashion in Paris at the Chateau de Santeny.
The jury, formed by experts in the field such as Dawa Ma (actress and film maker), Celia Jaunat (model), Rene Pannier (responsible Dior fashion show), Ibrahim Diop (Chanel atelier stylist) and the jury president Suna Moya (fashion editor “Al Sharkiah Magazine”) has evaluated the creations of 9 stylists from all over the world.

Istituto di Moda Burgo is once again proud to announce the triumph of the student Federico Pilia who has won the first prize. “Io 2017”, the Concours de Mode Prize Orje, is a prestigious prize that emphasizes the young haute couture talents, a world-famous showcase organized by the founding president Ornella Evangelista. Federico will have the opportunity to get a photo shoot abroad that will later be released in the magazine “Al Sharkiah Magazine” in addition to the fantastic opportunity to realize the dress for Miss Serbia 2018.
The aspiring fashion designer, for this occasion, presented the Spring Summer Collection 2018 dresses’, inspired by the canons of the beauty of the 1930s. Jewelery made of precious fabrics such as duchesses, pure silk organza and macramè plots. Federico mixes a set of elements, Swarovski waterfalls, floral games with clear Art Dèco appeal. Each dress was enriched with embroidery and laces all finely hand-made, worked and dyed. They are all unique dresses that reflect the wisest Italian craftsmanship created by Federico and realized by the Tailoring and Pattern making Team of the students of the Istituto di Moda Burgo di Milano: Tamara Cartocci, Eleonora Martinis and Silvia Iotti; with the wise artistic direction of Biagio Belsito and the teachers Simona Candeago, Roberta Cotimbo and Giovanni Procopio.
