Theatre Costume Pattern Making course – fashion school in Rome
The Theatre Costume Pattern making course is designed to train specialized stage costumes pattern makers, ready to work in the industry once they have completed their studies. It starts with the study of basic topics such as anatomy, fit and different types of darts transfers. Following the analysis of different types of models, students then move on to the creation of the garment on canvas and fabric.
The study of fabrics is important, as they are precious and complex to work with. This is why the course includes a theoretical seminar on Fabrics and Yarns, which provides in-depth knowledge of the various fabrics.
Often theatre costumes refer to past historical eras, hence the importance of the Fashion History seminar that the course includes.
It will be possible to visit the classrooms, you will be able to view the projects of the former students, have a direct meeting with the director Fernando Burgo and the professors to request advice for an orientation on the program most suited to their attitudes and needs, it will also be possible to participate in one or more workshop of your choice.
